We have made it back, all in one piece. We had a great visit with family! It was very low-key, and relaxing. Eli did great during the long journey. He was so excited to get on the airplane, that everytime he saw an airplane land or take-off, he screamed "AIRPLANE" and jumped up and down! He had his own seat and was quiet for the majority of the trip. Thank God for our portable DVD player and Barney! David's mother was in much better health when we arrived, and continued to get stronger. Since we don't visit much, we want Eli to know his grandparents and be excited to see them. We always hope he remembers them....and he sure did. As soon as we pulled up the drive, Eli yelled "We're here at grandma's house!" He kept saying that he wanted to play with the "choo-choo" at grandma's house.....and sure enough, he remembered the little choo choo that he pushed around. It was so great to see Judy and Rodney, and the rest of the family. Eli loved his "pa-pa" and would get so excited when "pa-pa would get him" or tickle him! We were able to take a trip to the local zoo, and see many animals such as "stinky fwamingos, gerraffes, peacocks, and even elwepants" (aka flamingos, giraffes, peacocks, and elephants). Below are a few pics from the zoo.

On Sunday, David's sister, brother in law, and nephews came for a visit. Eli had so much fun playing with his older cousin Jonathon "putting out fires" with the garden hose. They were soaked at the end, but all fun was had.

The trip always goes by too quickly. We had a great time, and are so thankful we were able to make the trip. Now, back to reality. I start my new job tomorrow. I'm excited, and a little nervous at the same time. I just want to do the best I can, and I'm ready to start working again.
