Busy Busy Busy

We had such a busy weekend. Thank goodness it was a 3 day weekend so we could fit it all in! Saturday was all about College Football! Go Georgia Bulldawgs! Eli and I packed up and went to my friend Kelly's house for a cookout and some football watching! Eli had a blast playing with Ethan (17 months) and I enjoyed some conversing with adults! David attempted to venture to Athens and go to the game; however the trip was a bust and his buddy and he ended up watching the game on TV at a restaurant. Sunday, Eli and I joined my parents, my sister and her family, and some extended family in North Georgia for a little picnic. My best cousin Danny and his beautiful pregnant wife Maria, were visiting and we had a little baby shower for them too. It was so great to visit with family, especially ones I hadn't seen in a while. There was a little creek at the picnic area and Eli had more fun splashing and throwing rocks in the water. Monday was a little more laid-back as we had some great friends who were willing to serve us with their time and "handy-man" service! My great friend Danielle and her husband Jeff helped to fix our gutter and replace an outdoor sensor light that had been broken for a long time. We provided dinner and dessert and enjoyed their company! We are so thankful for those that help us!

Eli is having his inguinal surgery repair tomorrow. We are a little nervous and scard, but realize that we must be strong for our little guy. We trust he will be fine and know he is in God's hands and pray that God will guide the physician's, nurse staff, and anestesiologist who will be caring for him during surgery. He's such a wild little boy, that I know he'll be running around in no time! You can't keep Eli down for long!
