Movie Time

I decided to take Eli to his first movie. There is a local theater that does the free summertime movies and my friend (who has twins Alex and Emma 22 months) wanted to take the adventure with me. Bee Movie was playing, and we set a goal of 45 mins of watching the movie for the first time. Armed with juice, trail mix (my own mixture of raisins, cheerios, goldfish, and the occasional M&M), and some other snacks we set off for the movies! Eli was very excited that we were going to a "moobee" about Bumblebees, and he kept asking if there were going to be fireworks at the Bee moobee.....I guess he was still excited about the fireworks show we saw a few days ago. The kids sat great for about 25 mins until the movie started, and then were so excited when it came on with the constant "what's dat" and small fingers pointing to the big screen. Eli did really great, and sat through 1 hour of the movie without getting up. I knew 1 hour was our time limit when he started asking to go outside and play. We will try it again in a few weeks for the Veggie Tales Movie. Here's a few pics of the kids at their first "moobee."

Eli is 2 1/2 and close to potty training. We have some weeks where he asks to go and is successful and others where he would rather pick his nose. This is what has become of our potty this week.

There is always next week....right???
